ORGANIZING CHAIRPERSON’SProfessor and HeadDepartment of PharmacologyAll India Institute of Medical Sciences. Bhopal
Dear Participants, It gives me immense pleasure to warmly welcome you as the Organizing Chairman of the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Workshop 2026, being conducted under the aegis of the National Association of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (NPT). This national-level academic workshop will be organized in online mode every Thursday during March 2026, scheduled on 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th March, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The GCP Workshop 2026 has been thoughtfully structured to cater to MBBS-qualified doctors across all specialties, irrespective of their prior exposure to clinical research. The program will provide a comprehensive overview of GCP principles, real-world applications, regulatory expectations, and recent updates in clinical research practices. An eminent panel of experienced faculty and national experts will guide participants through these essential domains with clarity and practical insight. I strongly encourage all participants to actively engage in the sessions, participate in discussions, raise queries, and share their experiences. Such academic interaction and exchange of perspectives significantly enhance learning outcomes and foster a deeper understanding of ethical and compliant research conduct. This workshop will also serve as an excellent refresher program for professionals who have previously undergone GCP training. As recommended by regulatory authorities, periodic retraining in GCP —ideally every five years—is essential to remain aligned with evolving guidelines, regulatory frameworks, and best practices in clinical research. I look forward to your enthusiastic participation and assure you of a meaningful, enriching, and professionally rewarding learning experience.
With warm regards and best wishes
ORGANIZING SECRETARYProfessor and HeadDepartment of PharmacologyAll India Institute of Medical Sciences. Nagpur
Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Researchers, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) stands as the global gold standard for ensuring ethical integrity, scientific rigor, and regulatory compliance in clinical research. It provides a comprehensive framework governing every stage of clinical trials—from protocol design and conduct to monitoring, auditing, documentation, analysis, and reporting of data. In alignment with the guidelines of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the recommendations of the National Medical Commission (NMC), foundational training in GCP has become mandatory for all professionals involved in clinical trials and new drug development research. Importantly, completion of GCP training is now a compulsory prerequisite for postgraduate medical students before appearing in their final examinations, making structured GCP education an essential academic and professional requirement. In this context, it gives me great pleasure to announce the 5th National Workshop on Good Clinical Practice (GCP) – 2026, a signature national academic initiative of the National Association of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (NPT). This workshop will be conducted primarily in online mode in March 2026, ensuring nationwide accessibility and convenience for participants across institutions and regions. Selected institutions with adequate infrastructure may also organize offline or hybrid sessions to facilitate enhanced interaction and hands-on learning. The workshop will feature renowned national experts and experienced clinical researchers, who will deliver in-depth, practical, and regulatory-oriented sessions covering all critical aspects of GCP, clinical trials, ethics, and compliance. This program is designed to benefit postgraduate students, faculty members, investigators, ethics committee members, and professionals engaged in clinical research. I cordially invite you to be a part of this prestigious national workshop and take advantage of this valuable learning opportunity.
